The strings are composed of Superior Performance (SP) hex core and Kovar nickel-cobalt alloy wrap wire. This blend has a natural corrosion resistance which means the strings and their tone will live longer than the bronzes. They’re all nickel-coloured too which looks really cool on an acoustic guitar - in my opinion!
Tonally, they have a greater, richer low-mid fullness than 80/20 bronze with less aggressive highs. This puts them neatly between phosphor and 80/20 bronze.
Expect a good, playable tension and great intonation à la Martin SP range thanks to the SP core.
