**Please Note** This mute set can only be used with a USA Made Classic Stingray Bass and will not fit any other Music Man BassĀ (including SUB Series)Ā  or Sterling Bass.

Fitting Instructions

1. If the mutes aren't already attached, stick them onto the outside end of the long side of the metal 'spring'.

2. Slide the short side of the metal 'spring' under the front of the bridge plate.

3. The thumb screw should feed from the top, through the long side, through the hole in the bridge plate and into the short side underneath.

4. Tighten the thumb screw all the way down (don't force it!) so the mute pad is out of the way of the strings.

5. To engage the mute, simply loosen the thumb screw until the spring raises the mute pad enough to contact the string to create the desired effect.
